Hospitals
A measure (AB 2400) by Assembly member Curren Price (D-Inglewood) was amended to require an owner to notify state officials and the public before closing a hospital or reducing medical services. Other amendments to the bill would require the hospital to report on the changes 18 months after they are made (Bill text, 3/24). The bill is before the Assembly Health Committee (Bill status, 3/24).
