Hospitals Face Up to $49B in Unpaid Medical Bills Annually
U.S. hospitals are left with as much as $49 billion in unpaid medical bills annually after treating patients who are uninsured, according to a new HHS study. The study found that families without health insurance, on average, are able to fully pay just 12% of their hospital bills.
