Kaiser Permanente Awards $1M Grant To Reduce Obesity in South Sacramento
The Health Education Council has received a $1 million grant from Kaiser Permanente to help combat obesity in south Sacramento. The grant -- which is part of a two-year, $4 million investment in healthy eating and active living programs across Northern California -- will allow the not-for-profit to focus on ways to motivate and help individuals adopt healthy behaviors.
