Kaiser Permanente Awards Grants to Safety Net Hospitals, Clinics
Oakland-based Kaiser Permanente recently announced $7.6 million in grants to community clinics and public hospitals in Northern California, the Woodland Daily Democrat reports (Woodland Daily Democrat, 11/21). The grants were awarded to "safety net" clinics that provide care for the uninsured and underinsured (Lau, Sacramento Bee, 11/22).
Kaiser awarded 47 grants, ranging from $50,000 to more than $500,000, as part of its Safety Net Quality Improvement Partnership with clinics, hospitals and public health departments (Woodland Daily Democrat, 11/21).
