Kaiser Permanente Doles Out $5.1M in Safety-Net Grants
During the third quarter of 2011, Kaiser Permanente awarded $5.1 million in grants to Northern California safety-net hospitals and clinics. The grants aim to boost access to chronic disease management programs, health screenings, and heart disease and stroke prevention programs. The two-year grants were awarded through a Kaiser fund at the East Bay Community Foundation.
