KAISER PERMANENTE: Names New President To CA Division
Kaiser Permanente earlier this month "named Richard Pettingill as the new president of its flagship California division," which includes about 5.5 million of Kaiser's 8.5 million national enrollees. Formerly senior vice president of the California division, Pettingill will succeed Richard Barnaby effective Jan. 1, "who has served in a dual role as president of the division and president of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals." Modern Healthcare reports that Barnaby "will retain his national role as No. 2 executive to Kaiser CEO David Lawrence" (12/7 issue).
