L.A. County Reports Eight Bacterial Meningitis Cases
So far this year, eight Los Angeles County residents have been diagnosed with bacterial meningitis, according to health officials. The county is urging men who have sex with men to get a meningitis vaccination, as four of the eight cases involved men who have sex with men. Starting Thursday, the county will provide no-cost vaccinations to uninsured residents.
