L.A. Supervisors Vote To Build New Jail Facility That Will Focus on Inmates With Mental Health Issues
On Tuesday, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors moved forward with a plan to shift at least 1,000 inmates with mental illnesses out of jails. The board also approved the construction of a new 3,885-bed jail that will focus on mental health treatment.
