Long-Term Care
AB 398 by Assembly member Mike Feuer (D-West Hollywood) was amended to require long-term care facilities to post a profile in a state-run consumer information system (Bill Text, 9/6). The bill has been forwarded to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) for consideration (Bill Status, 9/11).
A measure (AB 949) by Assembly member Paul Krekorian (D-Glendale) was amended to require residential care facilities to submit proposed closure plans to the Department of Social Services if more than seven residents will be transferred because of a loss of license (Bill Text, 9/5). The governor is considering the bill (Bill Status, 9/12).
