McCain Health Care Tax Credit Plan Could Cut Costs
An analysis by the Urban Institute-Brookings Institution Tax Policy Center found that Sen. John McCain's health care tax credit plan would save the average household $1,241 in 2009. However, McCain's plan would tax consumers on the value of employer-sponsored health care, and critics of the plan argue that many people could have difficulty obtaining coverage.
