Medi-Cal
AB 330, by Assembly member Mary Hayashi (D-Hayward), would seek to qualify school health centers as primary care providers so they could directly bill Medi-Cal managed care plans. The measure also would encourage health plans that administer benefits for Healthy Families beneficiaries to cover services offered by school health centers (Bill Text, 2/13).
Sen. Darrell Steinberg (D-Sacramento) introduced legislation (SB 260) that would allow multiple visits between a patient and the same caregiver on the same day and location to be billed to Medi-Cal separately (Bill Text, 2/14).
