Medi-Cal
SB 483 by Sen. Sheila Kuehl (D-Los Angeles) was amended to require life insurance agents to explain to aged, blind or disabled individuals how buying financial products would affect their eligibility for Medi-Cal. The bill also would establish new eligibility requirements for how annuities affect Medi-Cal eligibility (Bill text, 5/5). The Assembly Appropriations Committee is considering the bill (Bill status, 5/5).
