MONARCH: Physician-Management Company Merges With Software Firm
MHC Medical Management, the company that manages Monarch HealthCare -- "an organization of 600 Orange County doctors" -- announced Monday that it is merging with Vectis, a Waltham, MA-based software company. Terms of the deal between the two privately held companies were not disclosed. The new company, to be known as Vectis, plans to begin selling its physician management software to primary care doctors in Monarch's physician network within two weeks and eventually to practices nationwide. Officials said the company will be headquartered in Mission Viejo. John Gannon, formerly of MedPartners Inc., has been hired as president and CEO.
