N.C. Health Workers to Access Continuing Education Classes Online
A new partnership between the North Carolina Area Health Education Centers and HealthStream Inc. will allow physicians, nurses and other health care professionals across North Carolina to take continuing education courses online, the Business Journal of the Greater Triad Area reports. Under the new HealthStream partnership, 2,000 online courses will be available at the Greensboro AHEC's Healthcare Learning Center, with more "under license." Karen Zeliff, director of education technology services for Greensboro AHEC, said the partnership will allow providers to access "national experts on subject content" and enable them to "not be dependent on who we can draw to Greensboro at a particular time" (Barnes, Business Journal of the Greater Triad Area, 3/12).
