New CMS Web Site Tracks Medicare Hospital Spending

Last week, CMS launched a new Web site that allows consumers to track Medicare hospital spending for the 25 most expensive conditions. The Web site also enables users to compare Medicare hospital spending by state. The site's data are based on more than 40 million hospital admissions and will be updated monthly.
