Nurses Union Says Hospital Using Faulty Medical Devices
On Thursday, the California Nurses Association filed a complaint with the state Department of Health alleging that UC-Irvine Medical Center has been using faulty pain control pumps that have resulted in at least five patients receiving an accidental overdose of narcotics. The hospital acknowledged several of the overdoses but denied the union's claim that the facility still is using the faulty pumps.
