Recommendations Sought for Riverside Medical School
The University of California-Riverside has recruited national experts to serve on an advisory board for its proposal to create a new medical school, the Riverside Press-Enterprise reports.
UCR intends for the board to help it determine how the proposed medical school would distinguish itself from other medical schools and serve people with limited access to health care, according to a university statement. UCR also hopes the board will provide insight on integrating the existing Health Sciences Research Institute with the proposed medical school.
UCR officials plan to submit their proposal for the new medical school to UC officials in May (Agha, Riverside Press-Enterprise, 3/8).
Biographies of the advisory board members are available online.
