Report: Demand Climbs for Health Care Workers in Sacramento Region
Employers in most cities in the Sacramento region posted more online job advertisements in September than in August, with health care job ads among the most popular postings, according to the state Employment Development Department's Help Wanted Online report, the Sacramento Bee reports.
Job Ads in the Region
EDD found that in the four-county region, all but four cities -- Carmichael, Davis, West Sacramento and Woodland -- posted more online job ads in September than in August.
According to EDD, Sacramento County had the most September job postings in the region, with more than 19,000 ads.
Health Care Job Postings
EDD found that the number of health care services job postings in the region was higher in September than in August.
According to the agency, only postings for register nurses were lower in September than in August, but the occupation still had the highest overall number of postings in the region at more than 1,500.
In addition, EED found that the number of job postings by Dignity Health, Kaiser Permanente and Sutter Health -- which traditionally post the most job ads in the region -- was largely unchanged from August to September. The companies posted nearly 1,700 ads combined, according to EED (Smith, Sacramento Bee, 10/29).
