Riverside County Regional Medical Center Due $1.4 Million in State Building Refund
The Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development this week said that it would refund Riverside County $1.4 million in state building fees for Riverside County Regional Medical Center, the Riverside Press-Enterprise reports.
According to a yearlong review conducted by OSHPD, the county is due a check because hospital officials overestimated construction costs for the new facility, resulting in an almost $1.5 million increase in the hospital's building permit fee.
OSHPD spokesperson David Burns said the agency will refund the county in three to four weeks (Beeman, Press-Enterprise, 2/4).
