San Joaquin County Plan Tops Survey for Healthy Families Managed Care
Health Plan of San Joaquin County achieved the highest ranking in a state-sponsored survey of health plans that administer benefits for Healthy Families, California's version of the State Children's Health Insurance Program, the Stockton Record reports.
The survey was based on responses from parents of children enrolled in Healthy Families in fall 2007.
Health Plan of San Joaquin County achieved an overall rating of 92.2%, which was above the average rating of 87.3% for the 24 plans that administer Healthy Families benefits in California.Â
Six other health plans had ratings higher than the state average.
The survey was commissioned by the state Managed Risk Medical Insurance Board, which administers Healthy Families (Goldeen, Stockton Record, 12/24/08).
