San Leandro City Council Advances Medical Pot Proposals

On Monday, the San Leandro City Council voted 5-2 to move forward with a draft ordinance and zoning code changes that would permit up to two regulated medical marijuana dispensaries to operate in the city's industrial and commercial zoning districts. The proposed zoning code changes must be cleared by two applicable city boards before final approval, which is expected near the end of the year.
