Santa Clara Workers Approve Strike, Rally Over Public Health, Safety Issues
On Thursday, dozens of Santa Clara County workers represented by the Service Employees International Union 521 rallied outside of the county government building over public health and safety issues. On Tuesday, the workers, including 911 dispatchers, child welfare employees and nurses, voted to go on strike if a contract deal is not reached.
