Schwarzenegger Announces Appointments
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) on Friday announced appointments to several state boards and commissions, including some that are health-related.
- Ruth Braswell (R) of Yucaipa was appointed to the California Commission on Aging. Braswell previously served as director of community relations and co-owner of Vista Pacific Enterprise, and she was the public relations and community services coordinator for the Vista Pacifica Nursing Home. The position does not require Senate confirmation. There is no compensation.
- Sharon Monck (R) of Rio Vista also was appointed to the Commission on Aging. Monck has served as the executive director of Sunrise Assisted Living. She also was vice president of the in-home care company Real Care and an assistant administrator for Peg Taylor Center for Adult Day Health Care. The position does not require Senate confirmation. There is no compensation.
- D. Timothy Daze (R) of Woodland Hills was appointed to the California Board of Pharmacy. Daze has worked as deputy city attorney for Los Angeles since 2002 and previously was an attorney in private practice. The position does not require Senate confirmation. Compensation is $100 per diem (Office of the Governor release, 8/18).
