Schwarzenegger Appoints Deputy Secretary for Health and Human Services Agency
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) last week appointed Joseph Munso as deputy secretary for the Health and Human Services Agency. Munso, a Republican, previously served as chief deputy director of the Department of Health Services, where he oversaw management of preventive health services, primary care, family health services and Medi-Cal.
Most recently, Munso served as chief deputy director for the Children and Families Commission. Senate confirmation is not required for the position, which has an annual salary of $118,284 (Office of the Governor release, 6/28).
