Schwarzenegger Names Stem Cell Committee Member
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) on Wednesday appointed Duane Roth of La Jolla to the Independent Citizens' Oversight Committee of the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine.
Roth is the founder, chair and CEO of Alliance Pharmaceutical. He also has served as the executive director of CONNECT, a not-for-profit organization supporting entrepreneurship and new technology and life sciences businesses in the San Diego area.
The position does not require Senate confirmation and pays $100 per diem (Office of the Governor release, 4/5).
