Schwarzenegger Signs, Vetoes Health-Related Bills
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) last week signed six health-related bills and vetoed two bills addressing health care.
Schwarzenegger signed:

SB 614 by Sen. Liz Figueroa (D-Fremont) addressing certified nurse midwives;

AB 497 by Assembly member Gloria Negrete McLeod (D-Montclair) addressing nonresident drug wholesalers;

AB 800 by Assembly member Leland Yee (D-San Francisco) addressing medical records and patients' spoken language;

AB 920 by Assembly member Greg Aghazarian (R-Stockton) addressing the California Physicians Corps Program;

AB 1346 by Assembly member Keith Stuart Richman (D-Granada Hills) addressing acute care hospitals and surgical and anesthesia services; and
- AB 1434 by Assembly member Shirley Horton (R-Lemon Grove) addressing home health agencies and licensing enforcement.
