SEIU-UHW Ratifies New Labor Agreement With Kaiser Permanente
On Thursday, the Service Employees International Union-United Healthcare Workers West announced that it was the first of 32 unions to ratify a new three-year labor pact with Kaiser Permanente, the Sacramento Bee reports.
The group represents 46,000 of Kaiser Permanente's 96,000 workers across the U.S.
The agreement would raise workers' wages by 3% for each year of the contract and maintain current health care benefits (Calvan, Sacramento Bee, 6/25).
