Senate Unanimously Approves Botticelli as U.S. Drug ‘Czar’
On Monday, the Senate voted 92-0 to approve Michael Botticelli, President Obama's nominee, to serve as U.S. drug "czar." Botticelli, who has served as acting drug czar since March, is tasked with finding ways to curb prescription painkiller misuse and overdoses, which result in more than 40,000 deaths annually.
