S.J. County Valley Fever Cases Rising, Officials Warn
San Joaquin County public health officials are working to raise public awareness about Valley fever, which has seen a nearly fivefold increase in two years. County Health Officer Karen Furst said that "[I]t is important to understand the cause and symptoms of the disease and steps that can be taken to decrease the risk of getting infected."
