SONOMA COUNTY: Voters to Decide on Health Care District, Bond Issue
West Sonoma County voters will decide today whether to create and fund a Palm Drive Hospital health care district, the Santa Rosa Press-Democrat reports. If approved, Measure F would establish the district and Measure G would authorize $5.9 million in bonds to purchase the property and modernize the hospital to meet earthquake safety codes. A majority of the area's 30,000 registered voters must okay the district authorization measure, while the bond issue requires two-thirds support. Polls are open until 8 p.m. tonight, and the results can be accessed throughout the evening at the Press-Democrat's Web site, located at www.pressdemo.com (Rose, 4/11).
