Stanford To Offer Hepatitis B Services in San Jose
Stanford University School of Medicine is launching a program in San Jose to provide hepatitis B medical services, the San Jose Business Journal reports.
The university said the Hep B Free Campaign primarily will target uninsured, low-income Asian and Pacific Islanders.
The program will provide no-cost hepatitis B testing and low-cost vaccinations at the Pacific Free Clinic in East San Jose.
The clinic also will provide services to those chronically infected with the virus, including appropriate monitoring with blood tests and liver ultrasounds, referrals and antiviral treatment, according to the Business Journal (San Jose Business Journal, 7/5).
