Stockton Chosen for Prison Health Care Facility
On Tuesday, California corrections officials announced that they have chosen Stockton to be the home of a new prison hospital. Construction, which will cost $1.1 billion, is set to begin in 2010 and is expected to last two years. The facility will house 1,734 adult inmates.
