Study: Hospital ‘Super-Users’ Have Higher Risk of Death
Hospital "super-users" have an increased risk of death, compared with patients who do not typically seek care at hospital emergency departments, according to a study published in the Emergency Medicine Journal. The researchers said the study suggests that frequent ED users are not using ED resources inappropriately and that providers should focus their attention on providing interventions designed to meet their unique, unmet needs.
