The Week Ahead
The Assembly Business and Professions Committee meeting will include discussion of AB 185 to permit applicants for clinical laboratory licenses to practice as trainees and AB 253 to restructure the California Medical Board.
The Senate Governmental Organization Committee will consider several bills dealing with disaster response, as well as SB 426 to create a position in the Office of Emergency Medical Services to study and develop a plan to ensure access to emergency services statewide.
A number of bills addressing Medi-Cal reimbursement rates and eligibility are on the agenda for the Assembly Health Committee meeting. The panel also will consider AB 12 to create a program that would help provide health insurance coverage to employees of small businesses.
The Assembly Aging and Long Term Care Committee will consider AB 317, which would require the Department of Aging to provide supportive services at adult day care facilities for people with dementia.
