TrustData Announces Email Privacy Product
San Jose-based TrustData Solutions Corp. yesterday announced the release of Trusted Messaging, a service intended to address HIPAA privacy regulations by protecting email messages and attachments that contain patients' "personally identifiable [health] information." The program allows users to specify terms of use for the information, such as noting if content has been altered during delivery or placing limitations on the date or time during which the information can be accessed. Services supported by Trust Messaging include email, private messaging, email billing and email marketing (TrustData release, 1/17).
