Tulare School, Hospital Plan To Launch Nursing Program Next Fall
Tulare Adult School and Tulare District Hospital are developing a licensed vocational nursing program for students, the Fresno Bee reports. The program is scheduled to start next fall with 15 to 20 students.
The hospital will provide a program director, assistant director, instructor and use of its facilities. The school district will provide funding for the program from a $160,000 grant from the California Wellness Foundation.
School officials will begin developing a curriculum in January, a process that is expected to take about six months. The curriculum then will be forwarded to the Board of Vocational Nurses and Psychiatric Technicians for approval (Avalos, Fresno Bee, 12/16).
