UC-San Diego Looks To Attract Big Name Funders With New Wearable Sensor Research Center
UC-San Diego's Jacobs School of Engineering is creating a Center for Wearable Sensors in an effort to boost funding for research on wearable devices, such as the FitBit activity tracker and Google Glass. The center aims to get large companies, such as Qualcomm and Raytheon, to dedicate more of their research money to projects in La Jolla.
