UC-Davis Considers School of Public Health
University of California-Davis officials on Monday said they are considering whether to develop of a school of public health, the Sacramento Bee reports.
A university committee comprising faculty members, public health professionals and community representatives will submit a report in September on whether a public health school is needed, as well as a possible organizational plan for the school.
If approved by the UC-Davis Provost and Academic Senate and by the UC Board of Regents, the school would offer at least three doctoral programs and master's degrees in five public health specialties (Griffith, Sacramento Bee, 4/25).
