Uninsured Patients Receive Surgeries Through Group
Twenty-three uninsured patients underwent outpatient surgeries on Saturday at no cost at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco as part of Operation Access, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Operation Access is in contact with 60 local community clinics to provide donated outpatient surgeries. Kaiser Permanente provided services, supplies and pharmaceuticals, while doctors, nurses and anesthesiologists volunteered to perform the procedures on their day off (Pal, Contra Costa Times, 3/12).
