U.S. Supreme Court Rules on Taxing of Medical Residents
On Tuesday, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that medical residents who work more than 40 hours weekly must pay Social Security taxes. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote that the 40-hour distinction between residents who should be considered students and those who should be considered employees is appropriate.
