Waxman Wins Energy and Commerce Committee Chair
On Thursday, House Democrats elected Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) as chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, replacing the longest-serving member of the House, Rep. John Dingell (D-Mich.). Waxman is expected to help advance President-elect Barack Obama's efforts to expand health insurance coverage.
