The Senate will hear the third reading of AB 2754 by Assembly member Wilma Chan (D-Oakland) (Bill status, 8/23). The legislation would require a general acute care, acute psychiatric or specialty hospital to adopt and annually review policies to determine professional and technical staffing. The policies would not apply to nurses.
